Here are some of the most famous type of fabrics:

  • Cotton – To manufacture any type of cotton fabrics, natural fibers are used, the longer those fibers are the best cotton quality they will get.

Mexico’s government and the textile sector

Mexico’s government

How is Mexico’s government driving the textile sector?

Mexico’s economy has a positive influence thanks to the textile sector, which activity generates profits and thousands of job sources for Mexican people each year, the government is aware of this and it is why they are searching new ways to promote innovation, financing and a better level of competency on this sector.

“The textile sector has been a very important part of the economy, so it is excellent news to see how the Mexican government is working already to make the textile and clothing sectors to be more productive”, thinks Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal, a Mexican entrepreneur and current president of Grupo Denim, a jeans manufacturer in this country.

Mexico’s government has announced the three main axes that will help them driving the textile sector to a different level, by supporting the quality, innovation and competitiveness; customs measures against the unfair competition and new financing products for the entrepreneurs on this sector, everything in order to make the textile sector increase in Mexico.

The government has also announced that Hidalgo will be the first benefited state.

Among the changes proposed by the government against the unfair competition, they will implement new measurements on prices for raw materials, the new sectoral register for the clothing and textile sectors and the pilot program about tariff issues.

The textile sector will also see other positive changes such as the hedging program for cotton purchasing, as well as reinforcement of the financing scheme to internationalize the textile products.

“Textile industry has suffered illegal trades that damage the established companies, so hopefully these new changes and measurements will help to disappear these illegal practices, which will benefit the textile companies, who are constantly creating more jobs which benefits the Mexican families”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.

Taking breaks to be more productive

Taking breaks

Importance of taking breaks to be more productive

Have you ever been so busy working that you cannot even rest over the weekends? With this, I do not mean that you are sticked to your desk 24/7, but even when you are at home, watching a game or going out with your friends, your mind keep on thinking on those unsolved issues at your job, this is a common practice, but it is not healthy, as taking breaks can help you being more productive that being more hours at your office.

“Entrepreneurs know the importance of being present at their companies, but it is not healthy to obsess over it, resting is as important as knowing everything that goes around on the enterprise, it is only by taking breaks that our mind can be clear enough to think better on solving problems and thinking of new ideas to grow up business”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim.

Having time for yourself might sound as a luxury, or as something that can get us away from being present during important times in our company, but keep in mind that a conscious brain have limited capability to solve situations, while the subconscious is 800 times more powerful, so being away or “unconscious” of business, can be as important and help you finding solutions and succeeding.

Think of taking breaks as “rest of clarity”, this is a key for great leaders to be successful, as they have enough space to visualize future and place long-term goals, which is different to those who are always busy to take some rest from time to time, which makes it harder for them to solve problems.

“Being away from the office can give your brain an important rest and the opportunity to have creative moments, so spending time with the family, enjoying a good book, running, or making any type of hobby can benefit one person’s health and can even help to find new ways to innovate on a company”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal about this topic.

Importance of being punctual in business

business

How important it is to be punctual for business

Being punctual is a discipline that consists on being on time to meet our obligations and do our tasks, such as an appointment, meeting with friends, a task pending to be delivered at the office, and being punctual is extremely valuable, so it is necessary to apply this in all senses as it will make you be more efficient and will develop your character and personality.

“If you use to arrive punctually at an appointment, you are showing respect for the person you are meeting, plus you give the certainty to be serious and responsible to make sure you get there at the time previously established”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim.

Some people is punctual just in special occasions, such as a job interview, to a business meeting, or those type of events that they consider as “important”, but that is not what punctuality really is about, you need to be very conscious that all appointments are just as important and your presence is needed on the precise moment you were asked to.

If you have an appointment at an established hour, it is recommended to always focus on what you are doing before, this would help you saving enough time to arrive at that meeting at the time you agreed to.

Remember that unpunctual persons are always trying to make excuses as to why they could not make it on time, but the people around them loses trust on them, and it is about the opposite for a punctual person, whenever he or she cannot arrive on time for an extraordinary situation, they are respected for being honest when they tell why they arrived a little bit later.

“We need to work on the habit of punctuality, it is not only necessary to make and agenda, if you are being unpunctual, you need to find out what is exactly what does not let you arrive on time and start working on changing this behavior, you will notice how glad people is to see you entering in a room 5 minutes before you were asked to”, added Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal about this topic.

Fashion trends that will impact in 2016

As 2016 goes by, there are more new garments and styles that will be trends on the next coming months, if you like to know more about fashion styles, you are in the correct place.

You have probably seen by now the Serenity (sky blue color) and Rose Quartz colors on many garments this year, and that is because these are the 2 main colors for 2016.

The most popular garments that are being more popular for 2016 are the ones with shoulder necklines, as well as the crop tops, that are raging, especially for those women who are looking for new styles that would let them show a little bit of more skin, with these blouses combined with jeans, skirts, leggings and shorts.

Denim skirts are as active as they were years ago and this type of garment is going for more.

Metallic colors will be more active in 2016, such as silver and bronze, applied in garments such as skirts, jeans, jackets and tops, combining them with pearly colors in order to give the metallic garments a softer style.

We will also see bright colors this year such as butane orange, this color, as well as the serenity and rose quartz have been included in some of the most famous runaways, as designers are trying to include these colors for as much as possible.

Bomber Jacket is another garment that is decided to be still on fashion, and the materials used for this material will be manufactured with other materials than just leather and waterproof.

Lace will be one of the main characters for 2016 trends, especially on the white color garments and dresses, adding finesse, romanticism and sensuality to the garments.

“Trends for 2016 will be influenced by the bright colors, denim will of course play an important part on the fashion rolls, as garments made of this fabric are present on all fashion trends”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, a jeans manufacturer company in Mexico.

Denim, the star of the season

Denim, the star of the season

Denim, the star of the season and back to the runway

Denim is the star of the season on the last collection from designers like Alexander Wang, Balenciaga or Chanel.

There is no doubt that denim has become the main star on the runways, if was the jean first and now adopting the pattern of some designs, the fact is that there’s a whole collection on our closets.

All the people around the world have denim clothe and not just because it combines with all other clothes, “I have always said that I would like to have invented the cowboys jeans because it is the most spectacular, practical and relax clothe. Jeans got messages, sex appeal, simplicity…everything that I could ever expect from my clothes”, said Yves Saint Laurent

Denim is also a star on the street, and there the best designers and the streets is the best place to find a thousand versions of denim from the street. This is how tendencies like street styles are created.

Another trend for 2016 continues to be inspired by vintage looks on stretch denim and distressed finishes. It is always recommended to go by a dark wash vs. than clean vintage wash. Some people “make” their jeans to look vintage just to be in this fashion craziness.

Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, a famous manufacturing company from Mexico, thinks that it does not matter about new designs; denim will be always on the outlook. “This is one of the reason I love denim and I like so much work in the apparel business. We do develop new designs for every season but in the end, people will always chose their favorite jeans it does not matter if they are flare style and skinny is on fashion, a jean that perfectly fits a woman will be her favorite for every season”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.

Guess jeans, a symbol

Guess

Guess jeans, a symbol against sexual abuse

Denim day by Guess foundation was created 15 years ago, as a loud reaction case that made the whole world go into mayor indignation, a rapist was absolved because his victim was wearing an adjusted cowboy jeans. It was determined that because of the jeans being so adjusted, she needed to help her assailant to take them off. The jeans are America flag, and they become a symbol against this sentenced and from that day until today, we celebrate a day dedicated to prevent sexual abuse.

GUESS Foundation Europe is celebrating its first Denim Day on Spain on May 27th, supported by Foundation Ana Bella, an organization against the gender violence. Violence is present on life of many women that cannot be free because of the lack of money so they continue living with their aggressors. It is our duty to give education to our kids for them to learn and respect their couple and or sisters.

Following this, Guess invites on May 27 to wear jeans in order to show they are against violence and to collect money for the projects that could support the foundation.

Guess money is to Friend Program, which supports 80% of the victims that do not say a word about their situation. “Thanks to this program, we could get to 1,400 invisible women that are abused each year and help them to talk and get free from this violence; we act like a friend and help them individually by giving emotional support, finances and living. We use a lot the phone calls and our on line chats from Ana Bella APP to assist”, said the foundress of Ana Bella.

Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, thinks that this social change is making the people to be more sensitive. “Guess foundation promotes de social change that is needed to give opportunities to the people around the world in order to have a better life”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.

Cone Denim Celebrates 125 Years Of Denim Ingenuity

Cone Denim celebrates 125 Years of denim ingenuity last week with a two-day celebration (events on April 5 and 6)  in its hometown of Greensboro, N.C.

“This is a tremendous milestone for Cone Denim and the overall heritage of American denim, says Ken Kunberger, President & CEO of International Textile Group and Cone Denim. We are so appreciative of the support and enthusiasm for Cone Denim and look forward to another century of denim leadership.”

The history of Cone Denim dates back 125 years when two brothers, Moses and Ceasar Cone, born to Bavarian immigrants, first set into motion their vision of a marketing-based textile company. The Cones purchased more than 2000 acres in Greensboro and built the first plant, Proximity, named for its close “proximity” to the cotton fields which supplied its denims. The Revolution mill was built in 1899 expanding the company’s offerings with new flannel styles. At the turn of the century the brothers embarked on what would become the largest denim plant in the world, and White Oak began operations in April 1905.

White Oak’s heritage of authenticity and innovation continue to inspire today with its re-creation of vintage selvage denim, fashioned after the constructions of the early 1900s and woven today on American Draper X-3 fly shuttle looms. Early innovations included the development of long chain indigo dyeing, denim sanforization, and Cone’s Deeptone Denim, introduced in 1936. The White Oak mill operates today as Cone Denim’s global flagship operation, serving as the creative center for new product development and innovation led by Cone® 3D, the brand’s R&D group.

Cone Denim redefines contemporary denims with new sustainable and performance characteristics including its evolving line of performance denims offering patented S-Gene® stretch, high-performance strength, moisture management and cooling properties, and blends and treatments not traditionally available in denim.

Cone Denim practices sustainable manufacturing across its global network of mills focused on energy and water conservation, alternative fuels, recycling and sustainable cotton initiatives.

“There are so many people that have contributed to their success and establishing the Cone Denim brand as the hallmark of American denim ingenuity from their founders to a century of talented employees and supportive community to their dedicated supply partners and passionate customers”, says Salomón Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim.
