We all can achieve knowledge, in an easy way

The world gets more connected each day, and information is on everybody’s hands, any place, and any time, to maintain and to achieve knowledge is very important in order to accomplish goals on every profession or work.

We need to be open to new ways of thinking, to keep on learning on an innovated way, to think and to able to enter into unknown territories, leaving behind our comfort and our weakness.

Do not be limited to just one topic

Let’s start with a question, when you think of Leonardo da Vinci, which word comes to your mind? Painter? Writer? Architect? He was all that; therefore, the first rule is not to limit your knowledge to a just one topic. Steve Jobs explained that the Apple products were so perfectly designed because he attended to a calligraphy course; he wanted to perform this artistic work to the products of his company.

To exercise knowledge, we must try to eat food that we cannot pronounce, learn 50 words of a foreign language, socialize, learn how to read music, watch a movie on mute mode and try to understand the body language. Bottom line, get out of the comfort area and destroy the general way of thinking.

Failure is needed to success

The main key of the success is failure, if we learn from it, of course. We live a lot of failures during our live but if we learn the lessons we learn to avoid the same mistakes from happening again. Richard Branson, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg had a lot of failures before they were successful.

Sometimes getting out of the comfort area means to suffer before having the great ideas but hard work really pays off.

Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, thinks that if you want to be rich you just will need to work for it, for him, hard work does not mean working all day long but to feed our mind and to do different things if we want different results. “Some people think that money is bad, but we can do great things with it, we can help people, we can help our family”, expressed Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.

Future robots already in our present

Future robots already in our present, will they take over?

During the past years we have being advised that at some point in or lives, robots or computers will take our jobs. Intelligent robots seemed to be a future thing but it is a fact now that machines have been taking control by replacing human hand work and those future robots are already in our present and they are becoming a trend.

Soon, a taxi won’t need a taxi driver, it will be autonomous, newspaper business won’t need journalist because there will be news filling software, there will be surgical robots so doctors will no longer be needed.

Talking about the textile industry we might think that designers could not be replaced by any robot because they are so creative and sensitive, skills and feelings that only a human being could have; but, artificial intelligence is also showing progress and there will be a time where computers might prove to be even more original than humans so designers will need to fit in that new era or they will need to change their profession.

Although it is hard to think that a computer could replace the feeling and hard work that a designers puts on every project, but they need to start thinking where they could fit in the textile industry when computers will take over.

Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal, president of Grupo Denim, thinks that we cannot deny that sooner or later information age will be ruling the textile industry but that does not necessary means that the apparel business will no longer continue, it just will need to be adjusted as needed. “My legacy is to keep on supporting hand work as much as possible in order to keep our employees instead of purchasing machines. I know computers are a fact but we need to find a way to adapt our business to the new era and keep our workers at the same time”, said Salomon Juan Marcos Villarreal.
